A Turn-Key ANFO Truck Solution For CAL-NEVADA

CAL-NEVADA, a provider of controlled blasting solutions for the mining and construction industries, recently partnered with us to design and build its first Tread ANFO unit for its expanding fleet. We determined that a Treadbed-style 10SS14 was the best fit for the job. This unit features a three-compartment, stainless-steel 14ft long ANFO tank, engineered to carry up to 20,000 pounds of product at an SG of 0.8, and capable of delivering 1,100 pounds of that product per minute. For delivery, it features a back-of-cab overhead auger delivery system, clearly visible from the driver’s seat, which streamlines loading and placement.

On this unit, the Spartan control system lives in the truck cabin, complementing the overhead auger system. With this set-up, CAL-NEVADA’s crew can monitor and operate the unit from inside the cab, improving operator efficiency and enabling a smaller crew if the job requires it.

As a true turn-key partner, Tread handles everything from application engineering and model selection to chassis pairing, final assembly, delivery, and on-site commissioning and training by field service experts – maximizing capacity, compatibility, and confidence from day one.
